Have fun competing against other schools and groups from across the country in the national TEAMS Competition.
You and your teammates will work together to problem-solve some of the world's most pressing challenges. This year's event focuses on engineering better medicines and advancing health informatics.
TEAMS is the competition where you and your friends can experience first-hand how engineers change the world and make things better for everyone on the planet.
Ask a teacher, or other adult, to become a coach and get enough students together for a 4-8 person team. Team members must be in grades 9-12 but can be from one class, several classes, a school club or group (i.e. Boy/Girl Scouts, 4-H, Junior Achievement, etc.). Remember, the Coach must accompany you on competition day and serve as the point of contact for your team.
You can find previous competition questions online in the Questions/Solutions section. Be sure to also ask your Coach to login into their TEAMS account and download the scenarios, or topics that will be covered on competition day, as well as more sample questions.
There are 100+ competition sites across the country, mostly colleges and universities. You can search for the site nearest you in the Competition Site listing. And if there's not a site close by, you can compete at your own school as a Remote Site.
Register online when it opens in September.
You can win cash, trophies, medals, participation certificates... not to mention bragging rights that your team is one of the best in the country! Each team will receive recognition on competition day, state rankings and national rankings. Top ranking state teams will receive 'Best in State' awards and the top scoring teams in the nation will be named 'Best Overall' and receive a cash prize.
